More About the Ignite Culture Show

The Ignite Culture Show is a meaningful event that strives to preserve and bridge the gap between different Vietnamese generations, while bestowing ancestral traditions in combination with modern Vietnamese culture. This one-night event will showcase Vietnamese Students Association (VSA) from 10 post-secondary schools:

  • Ryerson University
  • University of Toronto St.George
  • University of Toronto Scarborough
  • University of Waterloo
  • University of Ottawa and Carleton University
  • Queen's University
  • York University
  • The University of Western Ontario
  • University of Guelph
  • McMaster University

Representatives from each school will be expressing their views of Vietnamese culture and history with a series of spectacular performances. Interpretative performance from each school is judged based on the level of creativity, talent, unity, and overall performance. VSA from the top three (3) schools are awarded a sum of fund, focused on aiding these associations with their year round cultural events. Additionally, on the night of the event, three (3) VSA members will be awarded and recognized for their extensive volunteerism in their respective community. All proceeds from the Ignite Culture Show will be used to facilitate the enrichment of UVSA events, promoting unity and cultural activities.
