1. This Philosophy Is Described On The Surface of the Bronze Drums:

According to our legend, the Hung Emperors granted 1,600 bronze drums to all branches of our Viet race for them to use as a basis in their government. After Ma Yuan defeated the Trung Sisters, he confiscated all bronze drums and brought them back to China with him. Among the bronze drums that have been excavated, the one found at Long Dai Son pagoda, Ngoc Lu village, province of Ha Nam, and the one found at Dong Son, province of Thanh Hoa, are the most typical. Through the figures engraved on the surface of the Ngoc Lu bronze drum, we can understand all the traditional meanings that the Hung Emperors have conveyed to us through generations and generations in the building, protecting and restoring our Nation. These elements are the light, the sound, the Viet Bird (our totem), the left-direction walking to the orientation of the Sun (meaning our comply to the celestial determination), the Three-Element Philosophy, the Yin-Yang, the agricultural life and the architectural curved line of the roof of our houses.

The archeologists have demonstrated that: the Far-Eastern cultural tradition began with the Bach Viet, which included Vietnam, even before the Chinese. All archeological findings excavated in China belong to the Viet race. "According to historians, Vietnamese bronze drums, curvy roofs existed at least a thousand years B.C. The Chinese only had curvy roofs from the Tang Dynasty, around 630 A.D. The curved roofs of the Viet race symbolizes the upward movement, reaching to the Heaven; at the same time it is also the harmonious trait between the straight line and the right angle, in order to establish a balance between the circle and the square, pointing to the comprehensive way-of-life."
